I have found its easier to cut the bottom flat so you know which way up the cutting goes especially if you have quite a few. ♻️Happy Gardening........Terry King.

I have about 15 currant bushes 😱 but I've taken a couple of cuttings and plonked them in the ground just to see what would happen. Nice informative video 💚🌺

Hi Jaz, just potted up some red currant cuttings I took last year. I did the same as you and they had all rooted well-luckily I remembered to water them in the dry summer. But I didn’t cut the tops off, is that to make them bush out? Perhaps I should do them now...?

I don’t have blackberries Lee, but I found that wild blackberry (bramble) can be cut now - this RHS article on berries may help for garden varieties though hopefully www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?pid=93
