Yes the tin was super similar to that but I searched for it after filming this and it was called La Vie de la Vosgienne and I mostly saw people with the Les Framboises flavor! People want an arm and a leg for them on eBay - bless Aldi for coming through with a jumbo dupe 😂😂

La Vie de la Vosgienne candy! I always got those and Les Anis de Flavigny Violet Flavored Anise Candy as a child!I still love them,but not always the easiest to find without still spending alot.lol The tins of the violets are so gorgeous,too. 💜

I live in upstate NY and my town is covered in lilacs! We have a massive grouping in our yard that's probably almost 100 yrs old - they are huge and they're in bloom now so the scent is 1,000% springtime. They're really easy to grow and very hardy so maybe you could get a bush - they have v dark purple varieties - English lilac. Super pretty.

I know exactly the hard candies you talked about! We used to get ours from the Polish deli, and sometimes at a grocery store/ethnic market. I don't remember the name but there was a forest fruit mix and definitely an orange one.

I also love musky/spicy/fall-inspired scents year round! I’m not a huge fan of super bright florals that almost seem like sour candy for home scents - yesterday I picked up a vanilla tobacco candle from Home Goods and it’s perfect for right now. Not too sweet but more interesting than vanilla alone. Def going to buy that 4-pack sample set from Confessions of a Rebel! I’m always looking for unique/complex perfume scents. I usually go BPAL for this reason!

Love you Jade! I watch all your videos. One thing I wanted to suggest you look into is the effect candles have on dogs. Certainly there is a huge variety of chemicals in different brands of candles. Not telling anyone to stop burning them altogether but just check your ingredients and do some research on how they can affect our little baby lovies. You are the best, thank you for all your Halloween content!

I have a book suggestion that I’m unsure would fit into your monthly book club or not but it’s a book I recommend to avid readers everywhere. Watership Down by Richard Adams. There was a movie that came out a long time ago on VHS and I was obsessed with it as a kid. Netflix did a limited series about it too but the book and original movie are leagues better. If you enjoy deeply symbolic stories and older novels then you’ll love it. 🥰🖤

I had those bon bon tins; "De La Vosgienne". My father would buy them for me when he'd go out to buy his favorite soaps and aftershave. My favorite were framboises(raspberries), fraises(strawberries) and Pastillines(orange, lemon and rasperry). It was all I could do as a kid to just not whip out a fancy handkerchief whenever I'd open the tin to eat one, lol!
