I went to Joann on Friday, 1/10, for the McCall’s sale. The store was a disaster. It needs to be closed. When I got there, there wasn’t even a sign on the drawer saying McCall’s were on sale. While looking for a McCall’s pattern book, a sales associate was just putting the sign on the drawer. I asked her if she knew where the McCall’s pattern book might be. She said they must’ve sold the lady one. She offered to order another one for me.

Thanks for the information on the pattern sales. The word is Buh-teak. Batiks are a type of dye process resulting in a particular "print". Thanks again.

Glad you are discussing Joann's! I have read that they are closing some of their stores and this makes me sad. There are fewer and fewer fabric stores to be able to go into and check out the fabrics!

Thanks for all the information - if I start sewing gifts now, maybe I'll be ready for Christmas 2025 😁! I remember for a while Joann was sending emails showing what customers had made, too - they're busy trying to figure everything out - heard they might file for a bankruptcy/reorganization again - they just can't go out of business, though - too many of us are depending on them!

You know I hear you, Joann's is the one store I go to for sewing and craft supplies. I wouldn't want to make a drive to ATL every 3-6 months for fabric. That would not be cool.

I'm not going to JoAnn's and will miss this sale. I went to the store because I was grabbing something for my daughter and decided to go inside, but I did not have a plan to get anything in the process, plus I had to go to work Friday so it made it easy to go. I'm not going back across town to get any patterns. No in this cold weather.

I didn’t know Joann’s had free pattern and instructions. I wish I lived near your store - so much selection. The joanns I go to is smaller and dated.

The ladies here make sure there is nothing on the floor, which I go to 3 of them because they are clean. I'm not sure about the other ones.

I’m always jealous of how big it is and the selection of fabrics. My Joann’s is small and doesn’t have all the different fabrics.
