I'm in the UK and was shocked, shocked I tell you, when I got hold of a load of Joann's quilt cotton this year. After years of reading catty remarks online I found out that the cotton base they use is just as good as the fancy pants expensive quilt cotton I've been using for decades, and pretty much the same as spoonflower's base, but at a fraction of the price.
