I remember going to one of their concerts 2 years ago, on February 17th at 9:49 P.M and them playing this song. It was an absolute religious experience ill tell you that much. I remember coming back from that concert and trying to find it but never did, but now that it came out today, I can rest in peace knowing this song came out. The nostalgia, the feeling, the way it moves through my body, I love every second of this song god damn.

currents joys and his other band surf curse used to circle around to this small concert venue in my city, and the last one of his shows he played this song. every show and song in a current joys set makes catharsis set in. i remember the crowd when this song played, and the way the pit moved in emotion. almost everyones eyes were closed. so glad to hear this song again, and to hear that someone knows the same nostalgia! thank you for sharing!

@@NicoleBe tbh this is still current joys. This album so far has succeeded his last album. The last album was a slow burner, and while that album was a masterpiece, this album already has a more energetic vibe to it through nicks emotions. I can already tell Voyagers will be better than Different age. not that different age is bad because it’s not bad at all. In fact it’s one of my favorites especially when I’m depressed. But this, American Honey and Amateur already sold us on how this album will play out. A crazy ride.

@@NicoleBe Every artist evolves but for Nick I feel like he matured, his earlier stuff was written when he was a teenager and very early 20’s, his music seemed less composed and was definitely natural because of his loop pedal that I believe he wrote most songs on. As the years on and he finally made “A Different Age” it was more composed and had an almost lonely sound, his lyrics were storytelling and poetic where his older music was more like teenage dream and it was magical. This new album feels a lot like a mix of those things but I really feel like he’s trying to mix all of it together but also staying true to what he wants to write.
