Oh my goodness! I just put Mary Poppins on my list to read recently. So cool to see you speaking about it here. I just subscribed to your channel. I'm currently reading Anne of Green Gables. I'm almost through the audio book and am just started the physical book as well. I also just finished and reviewed A Wrinkle in Time on my channel. I'm excited to see more of your videos, and I appreciate that you talk a lot about children's books.

I really must get back to another Flavia book. Currently I am reading "Sourdough" by Robin Sloan and loving it. Next up is one of your favorites "East of Eden". Happy Easter.

John Irving is brilliant, especially his earlier works, Garp, hotel New Hampshire etc. I enjoy a bit of Bryson too, but he let himself down when he visited Canberra, he really didn't get it, so our secret was well kept from him and his readers. Afterward watching a few of your videos there's a novel ot in June 2018 that I think you'd enjoy. The Book Ninja. Happy reading

Thanks to your influence I have started reading the first Mary Poppins book. Currently in the first chapter. Books 2-4 are on standby waiting to be read if I enjoy the first one enough. I'm also listening to an audio book called Liar by K.L. Slater. It's a psychological mystery so too can participate in March Mystery Madness. All of these books are first time reads for me.

Eek! So excited you are reading the next Flavia book. I just finished it! I recently listened to an interview with Alan Bradley and Jane Entwistle. It's on his Facebook page. He confirmed he is working on book 10 right now, which is scheduled to be the last book. But it also sounded like he was open to more Flavia stories. I am in love with that series!!

I need to get my hands on my mom’s Mary Poppins boxset. Those books are so pretty. I’m currently reading A Man Called Ove and Heart of Iron. I’m getting along pretty well with both so far. However, I’m excited to get to Black Beauty which is my next read this month.

How is Baudolino? I am constantly tempted to try it, but I've never picked it up. I loved Name of the Rose, but I thought The Island of the Day Before was just OK.

I'd read The Name of the Rose years ago and I loved it so much, I also read Foucault's Pendulum and I enjoyed it as well! When it comes to Baudolino I see it as a mixture of the two books I've mentioned, it is definitely less complicated even though it takes place in the middle ages or maybe I find it so because I'd read two huge books by Eco :D I haven't picked up The Island of the Day Before yet, I've started it but I didn't get the chance to finish it!

Hi! This is quite out of topic but how would you compare abridged and unabridged versions of classic books? I would love to see this as a topic in your future vids. Thanks!

I am currently reading Ann Bronte's The Tenant of Wildfell Hall and loving it. What has struck me about the book is how much it feels like reading a modern novel set in the Victorian period.

Omg as it turns out I'm not a weirdo reading a couple of things at a time, what a relief. I'm currently enjoying The Republic of Thieves by Scott Lynch and The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers. Both so different from each other yet both so wonderful.

I'm currently reading The Enchanted April by Elizabeth Von Arnim (in the beautiful virago designer edition!!) I also used my birthday book voucher to buy two Mary Stewart Mysteries: Madame Will You Talk? and Rose Cottage. (I think you should check Mary Stewart out if you haven't already) and then I treated myself to Anne of Green Gables, Anne of Avonlea and Anne of the Island, which came as a book bundle brand new on the online bookstore thebookpeople for just £5! (in the lovely virago editions, of course!) And I also picked up three Angela Thirkell books (virago again!)- High Rising, Wild Strawberries and Pomfret Towers, brand new from thebookpeople as a bundle for just £2.95! I'm one happy reader and for once I didn't break the bank! You've got to love a bargain! You should check out thebookpeople, they do deliver internationally, I believe. :)

I am currently cracking the spine of 1.Roots by Alex Haley. Up next will be the following: 2. Narrative on the Life of Frederick Douglass , an American Slave by F. Douglass, 3.Native Son by Richard Wright, 4.The History of Seven Killings by Marlon James. I know :D, it's already March and these are more apt as February reads. :)
