Love my river. Live about 1/4 mile from the Current, don't even get off the gravel road to launch.😂 The water stays about 64 degrees in winter and might get 74 in summer around Doniphan Mo area. I agree, read the water, read the river. Glad you come up and hopefully had a good time.

“Dont look for the deepest water, just look for enough water” Thats good advice. There is always standing deadwood or rocks in those darker pools.

Wow, the fact that you saw an elk in MO is pretty special. They were reintroduced into the state not too many years ago and I think they currently only give out like six elk permits for hunting every year right now.

My cousin was whitetail hunting a few years ago and came across an injured 5x5 . He thinks coyotes since its hind legs were ripped up and had a bloody injury on its throat.

Thinking of throwing a jet foot on my weldbuilt 1656 with merc 90 4 stroke. Weldbilts a good hull for jets? Also has pods. That gonna be an issue?

Hi been watching and enjoying your videos lately and looking into getting a new duck boat. Do you have any experience with jet tunnels? And also how do you feel about a flat bottom compared to a modified v. I hunt a lot of mud and sandy marsh and a lot of times there’s a grassy bottom.

What's the make of that boat sir? That would be ideal catfishing or any fishing boat for the white river amd the black river here in north central Arkansas.
did you go through bugger boo bay up from Doniphan?

He put in at log yard. That’s north of van buran a bit. Long ways from bugger boo bay

Can you recommend a good budget 14’ hull? Thanks!
@DennisBohannan Жыл бұрын
Budget and aluminum boats used to go hand in hand. These days it is tough. If you can find one Xpress made a 1450. You would have to raise transom but a 30 jet yamaha or 25 merc jet would do well.

Definitely keep your boat out of the springs. It is illegal and don't want to taint something pretty anyways. Just floated 30 miles on the same stretch you were on and got off at two rivers. The current river is amazing.

@jp2586 You're welcome anytime. I was just back in Missouri last weekend destroying it. If people are hitting rocks on the Current, they aren't very good boat drivers. Also, there are no props on these boats. O yeah thanks for the comment.
