Because there are not many Silver specific mines, they have no leverage. More than 70% of Silver mined is as a byproduct to the Mines main concern - which maybe Copper, Nickel, Lead, Gold and so on. They are essentially not in the Silver business as a whole and are happy to collect whatever price they can get for this side item that they've dug up while mining for something else.

Great interview presentation. Thanks Kai and Keith. This is probably the best silver news ever presented period. I didn’t even know silver was used in nuclear. I ran the math on nuclear reactors. 1 control rod weighs 1100lbs. 80% is silver or 880lbs. A 1000mW reactor uses 50,000 rods. Of these there are 1000 (20 x 50) control rods. That’s 14,080,000 ounces of silver for one reactor. I hear 30-40 reactors needed in China and US in the next decade. Note that nuclear isn’t even listed in Silver Institute report. I’m surprised China, India and Russia aren’t buying every ounce available in the market now.

Too many operational issues for FM. Look at the chart of major silver produces then look at the chart of AG and the price rise of silver. Sorry, FM has issues. A stocks price is collective view of all market participants and they FM/AG differently than most of you do. Money is going into other miners.

Why buy physical silver now based on a speculative thesis? I can wait for it to rise in price and buy it then if it ever does go up. Afterall, Keith just said that there is roughly twice as much supply as there is demand, and Russia (or some mystery producer) keeps supplying silver whenever it is needed by the market.

Your comment holds water if you’re seeing better returns elsewhere. My silver investment has done significantly better than the s&p this year. The risk reward profile of physical silver is amazing if you intend it to be a long term (>10 year) investment. We are so far from the historical average gsr the only way you lose is if you capitulate and lose to bid ask spread. Think about the context of the economy too. How long can this bubble inflate before it pops? Of course, metals will see a short term drop when it does but these supply and demand dynamics suggest it will also recover fast and may very well be one of the first industries investors look to after an economic downturn. Not sure where you get that there is more supply than demand, he outlined the supply deficit clearly and the lack of ability to significantly increase supply at these prices and in a short period of time.

I have a couple of questions for experts: he said that EV and solar panels account for around 40% of silver industrial demand. What if these two sectors sharply implode? We have seen that EV vehicles demand decreased a lot in 2024. I guess silver demand will sharply decline. Second question is: I know silver is the best electric conducter out there, are there cheaper, more common metals (e.g. copper) that threat to replace silver?

I'm a strong advocate for Silver. But a 1:7 ratio is better than a 10x price jump 😲 1:85 is definitely ridiculous. I'm not sure what it's true value is. But I have zero issues accumulating at the current ratio. I've been pretty lucky the last 5 years. Almost thought I was dreaming at times. First Majestic is one of the worst performing mining stocks. Thanks to Mr. Neumeyer. It is so incredibly bad that even during the recent substantial uptick it didn't lift my long time investment in FM out of the red. The stock is a clown show. And he's the boss. His words have no value at all for me, contrary to most commenters, who seem to have a religious belief in him. Well it has to be religious, because hard facts prove otherwise.

Both. Us debt clock is year over year. This video spoke about what day over day is. Both are based on some math that we partially need to guess at because these numbers are often not reported accurately or at all. But the numbers both tell us that silver is clearly a manipulated market.
