Really enjoyed this tutorial. Have been looking for a system yo keep track of filled pens and this was the best. Simple, straight forward. I might consider adding the filling system in the pen and space to show when pen was refilled/cleaned at a future date. Thanks.

You have an excellent lineup! I love Sailor Epinard, and KWZ Grapefruit is beautiful too. Your Gravitas Delrin and Sailor PG Imperial Black and gorgeous. What a great range of colors, and it’s nice to have at least one broader nib to enjoy laying down some ink, but your finer nibs look like they have great flow. My favorite pen/ink combo at the moment is a Pelikan M205 Apatite with a Fine nib, inked up with Birmingham Pen Company Heron. It’s a fantastic wet combo, and I’m feeling the teal right now. Thanks so much for sharing! 🤘🏼😸

Thanks! And that sounds like a great combo! I haven't tried any of the Birmingham inks because they came out right when I was trying to not buy anymore ink, but I've only heard good things and they are definitely on my list to try soon.

That orange/red ink in that Lamy is GORGEOUS omg!!! And I'm surprised you have a broad nib, Lamy medium looks like a broad, but in comparison with the rest of your pens, it does look like a regular western medium, but I have seen that it writes supposedly much broader than its actual nib size.

Oh yes, it's quite broad and juicy, even for a western medium, but I still love it. It's just so smooth and somehow still feels precise when writing with it. And it was one of my first gold nib pens, before I really honed in on liking finer nibs, but like I said, I still love it and when it comes up in rotation.

@@thestationerydev it does make that red orange look amazing though with that juicy thicker looking medium tip. Love it!

Swatches just make no sense to me. O care about the way an ink looks when I'm writing with it, which has ne relationship to how a swatch looks. Especially a huge thick swatch. I'm not fond of buying direct from Japan, either. It saves you money, but harms every honest retailer who goes through proper channels and pays custom fees and taxes. Japan keeps coming up with ways to shut down direct sellers, but it's a very difficult thing to do without harming other areas of the economy. I really hope they find a way, though. It's a terribly unfair practice. I'm not liking anything today. I don't like extra fine nibs, and I think the Lamy 220 is the worst piece of crap ever called a fountain pen. I've owned somewhere around two hundred gold nib pens, and the 2000 is right at the bottom. Smooth nibs mean nothing. I've had cheap steel nibs that were just as smooth as any gold nib pen. They should be. The tipping is the same. And a glassy smooth nib is a terrible idea, anyway. A nib that smooth has been over polished, and is right at the edge of baby's bottom. More than seventy percent of all fountain pens are well over polished right out of the box. This generation of fountain pen users just assumed that glassy smoothness is a good thing. Too many also think a stiff nib, like the one on the 2000, is also good, and that a tiny sweet spot is fine. Never mind the lousy grip. From my experience, this means those who think this did not use fountains pens growing up, and still write like they're using a ballpoint. They don't even know what fountain pen nibs are capable of, and have never been taught how to use a soft gold nib with a wide sweet spot, and a little bit of real feedback. Feedback is a GOOD thing. It makes the pen easier to control, and ads decades to the life of the nib. The only reason these over polished nib last any time at all is because few people really use fountain pens very much, and swith off from one pen to another so that no one pen gets too much use. Everything else aside, the 2000 is an ugly pen made of of cheap fiberglass, even if it is called something else. It has a terrible grip, and a small, stiff nib with a tiny sweet spot. I can say much better things about a Jinhao, and certainly about any TWSBI. For more or less comparable nibs, the Pilot Custom 74 and even the Pilot e95s both have infinitely better nibs that actually write much closer to the way a fountain pen with a gold nib is intended to write, though few people know how to use a fountain pen, other than the same way they use a ballpoint. While I'm still in the negativity zone, other than turquoise, I don't like blue ink, and I hate "shading". Everyone hated "shading" when I was young. It was just considered a sloppy mess that came from cheap, poorly formulated ink. Then marketers with a lot of bad ink to sell started calling this sloppy mess "shading", said it was a feature, not a bug, you know, like Microsoft did with the early Windows, and the rest is history. Now every new user is told that shading is a great thing, and they all say GREAT, and jump on the sloppy mess wagon. I still this "shading" is just a sloppy mess that looks like it came out of a one dollar pen filled with two cent ink that was found on a Walmart clearance isle. Sorry for all the negetivity. You make great cideos, and you have some great pens, but this particular video punched all my personal "yuck" buttoms. It happens.
