My dumb ass thought the album dropped on the 12th even though I pre-ordered a The Death We Seek shirt. I sit down to finally give the album a listen and I have to pause the 2nd track for a breather. Not even finished with this song and it's already my favorite Currents song of all time. The heaviness, the bounce of the rhythm and the screams, and then the clean vocals come in and blow me away with the melody. God damn guys! Favorite band of the last few years and you keep pushing the boundaries. Never lose this sound!

That absolutely brutal section at about 2 mins in, had me literally freaking out, I was so caught off guard and just kept repeating “Holy f*ck”, lol. I’m excited to listen through the rest of the album. I wish it was a bit longer tbh tho, by adding another ballad/song or two maybe, but I’m sure it will be quality over quantity. A 10 song banger-fest with an “all killer, no filler” kind of attitude, akin to Phinehas’ album in 2021.
