you can use weapon if you're competent about your abilities, I only use the potions just incase if someone ended up in the worse spot in the wrong time if they're unable to use the curse flame heal from coffinhilt's heavy or unable to parry or dodge anything else to get rally aced

I believe it's harder to get with bag of gems in big iron but that's just my experience
