I spent so much time of my youth down there, camping, night fishing at Colonel Clifton's pond, walking up to Harry Marshall's farm and scrumping his apples and pears, great great memories❤

The steps you noticed but didn’t go up, by the stream, a close friend of mine and his brother went up there and dug out more steps and made the original steps visible and useable again. Just a cool little fact about the grove.

that's actually crazy as I have a story about a man and two dogs. it was a strange day as my daughter had a random inset day so i had to be off work. so i decided to come here, i said i felt the water calling so we stopped by where you are, near the wear and beeston marina across the way. some one fishing in a tent. a old man with two dogs came. one dog went to far into the water the man tried to save it, the other one jumped in. the man was drowning, i was the only person there with a phone, to which i had to guide the ambulance to for rescue, honestly was the saddest experiences of my life and my daughters. thank goodness the man survived but unfortunately the two dogs which where beautiful frenchies died.
