Thank you so much for saving this piece of history. Read in a book that the plane was used in 1918 during WWI in France. Amazing facts 65mph only to fly! WOW!

My great grandfather used to drive 65 miles in a Model T to watch these birds fly out of Kinloch field, now Lambert International Airport. He wanted to fly. Great grandmother threatened divorce if he did..!

My grandfather trained in Champaign Urban and flew these in various locations. I have original photos with squadrons up above the clouds, American and French Generals Field Marshalls and hand drawn route maps with colored pencil.
