Does the orba loop 2 need to be always connected to the app or does it work by itself ( sampling / recording / some built in presets) ? Simply said, can i enjoy it if i don’t have my phone around ?

@@ReaperCore15 Hey there, you do need your phone or computer to connect to the app to change presets, but once you have the sounds you wan to play loaded onto Orba, you can disconnect and play freely.

This was a really helpful video. Have you ever seen a review of this where someone has laid down a background track with beats and instruments that would be at home in the 60s or 70s rock song rather than a techno club feel. I bought a nice acoustic guitar little over a year ago and I thought it would be so nice. I like it add a backing track to play along with that still feels somewhat earthy.

The livestream was dope, I think this would be great once i adjust to the workflow. Anything to get the ideas out faster and easier. The bass preset was insane, and I remember the brass beat that was really insane. Seems like there was an app issue when you were messing with the slider, but I think that could easily be fixed in the future.

Absolutely. Something I noticed later in that stream was I found it easier within my own workflow to come up with melodic ideas in key that weren’t complicating the process. Also 100% agreed about the app, still some room for improvement. Overall a great idea

This is what you wish using the Orba smart phone app was like. What it's really like: play for 30 seconds, get disconnected, force stop, restart, play for 30, get disconnected, force stop, won't reconnect, force stop, app hangs on "power on" screen, force stop, finally get connected, play for 30 seconds, get disconnected... rinse and repeat. Most amazing hardware and worst software of any product in recent memory.

I never knew that the device was so inexpensive and basically wrote it off as a toy. With this video and seeing how it can connect to any DAW, it is a very fast entrance ramp to producing music! Even the trial and error learning phase works well for future growth! 🤯🤯🤯 Finally, you labeled the composition as chill but it was leaning hard onto a west coast Afrobeats vibe lol 😂 😂🏖️🚀✈️🔥🔥🔥🔥 Thanks for sharing this video! 🙏🏾

@@CurtissKingTV Totally understandable! I had a suspicious activity for some genuine transactions that have been finally cleared and am about to place my order now! The speed and portability of the Orba makes it a great companion for not getting in the way of any ideas. Other than iMaschine, the last time I had a device that worked so fluidly was the Roland DR-5 back in the ‘99 lol 😂🙏🏾
