I am an Greek Orthodox Christian. We celebrate feast and fast throughout the year. That is not on the Western calendar. I always acknowledge the Jewish feast because they can coincide. I listen to the Lord what to do. Rosh Hashanna and Yom Kimppur have always been special to me. This year is incredibly important All the alarms in my spirit and my body are going off to face God and to concentrate myself to him I think it's extremely important. ❤️☦️

Can anyone answer me with scripture. Why are Christians celebrating the new Hebrew year on Rosh Hashanah when the Torah says its in the month of Nisan (Exodus 12:2). The Jews changed the new year around the 1-2 century without a real explanation. Before that time, it was the month of Nisan. If so, how are Christians getting a prophetic word about an unbiblical new year? I asked God about this and Im curious if anyone here has answers?

Not an expert and have no comment regarding the validity of the prophetic statements. But wasn’t the calendar change to add a month so that a “year” is one full trip around the sun? I believe adding the additional month assured that the feasts would be observed in the same season of each year. Otherwise the fall feasts would slowly migrate to summer then spring and so on..
