Bro, you did just fine on the colt. 2 years or 20 months.. it sure never hurt a colt to put a kindergarten education on them for a few rides, let em think, put a few more on them then come spring they are sure ready to learn how to be a good horse. ALL of the great colt starters I know PERSONALLY and also friends of mine: Chris Cox, Dan James, Craig Cameron, Nick Dowers, Jim Anderson: will start them at about 20+ months lay a simple foundation on them, turn them out, re-start and ten come 24+ months they are really ready to ride and educate.

Those sticky colts are the worst , you know it's coming; but you can't get it over with because they won't track out.

Just so everyone on here knows ...this was a coming 4yr old he was just small and I do appreciate the people with the respectful comments they are nice ...but you other keyboard warriors I've been on thousands of 2yr Olds aswell

sir they look 2 years old and maybe a colt.. are they are ... plz start a colt when there 5 or 4 plz! can you start them all at 2 but rideing them? there to young let them start then when there 4 start ok? thank you have a good day or night sir!!

It's your fault the horse wouldn't move out everytime he would start you tryed to turn the horse instead of just letting him move out

@@gerrycoleman7290 well no it's really not but I'm gonna assume that colt is over the age of 2 and by that age their vertebra and joints are developed enough to start riding and just lookin I'm gonna say that colt is at least 2 years old

@@rowdycox3085 Should hold off riding most horses until after 5 years old. That is about how long it takes most of the horse's bones to fully develop.

@@gerrycoleman7290 they're developed enough to ride at 2 and their minds are more malleable at that age and I know they're not fully developed until 5 but doesn't mean it's not safe or that it's okay to start them
