Should you have to be more rigorous for a test: Odd function means that f(-x) = - f(x) Input the (-x) values into the given limits and the result of the limit will simply change sign. In this case you have to be careful when evaluating the limits from one side because approaching 2 from the left is slightly smaller than 2 in absolute value (think 1.9999...) so switching the sign of the input means you now have x=-1.99999... and therefore approach -2 from the right on your new limit, and the same when x is approaching 2 from the right, (-x) will be approaching -2 from the left.
