I saw Curved Air do this live back in 1971 and later when Daryll formed Wolf. He introduced it as "we wrote this in the van on the way here, so you probably haven't heard it". The audience, who had been quiet, just went wild. Amazing stuff.

One of the greats. Loved this song and this album back in the 1970's - and still do

Loved this band - and particularly this song - back in the 70's when I was at uni, and still love it now. Would give anything to have been there at this concert.

Para mim, uma das melhores bandas de rock progressivo que começaram nos anos 70. Edilson Galvani, São Paulo, Brasil.

I love this arrangement. It's something of a departure from the original but works very well. The improv in the middle seems almost Keltic (4:20) at the beginning, but the note selection (starting at around 4:50) suggests a Japanese theme, then it moves nicely (at around 5:40) into a classical segment. The short metal section(at about 6:50) fits nicely. Daryl Way remains in my mind the premier rock violinist of all time.

Brilliant performance - I can remember Daryl practicing this at St. Brandens, Clevedon in 1966, during a youth makes music week.

This is simply stunning. I see Curved Air are on the bill for Weyfest this year. That I'm looking forwards too, Could be one for fans of the violin - the wonderful Anna Phoebe is on the bill too and I think you've both got Jethro Tull in common.

Excellent musical talent but nothing out of the ordinary, the were ok but no hits. Classical music was for 200 yrs beforehand but today it’s all about hits

Drums out of sync with violin, you see the consternation in the fiddlers expression and body language but the drummer couldn't correct himself, pretty damn arogant, he's overdoing it in the heavyer sections too, they're not quite musicians, they develop drummers/napoleonic complex and focus on attention seeking, Copeland was even worse than this bloke
@mickrob1 Жыл бұрын
Rubbish. He's the bands original and best drummer.

That’s just plain nit-picking - sounds like there might be some sour grapes involved too. Why listen to it if you can’t enjoy it ? This is a (wonderful !) live performance, not some doctored damned recording. I love it and have watched and listened to it many times.
