From my short but very successful experience with wrapping, I heat tension even the flat surfaces for a strong bong. I stary exactly as you with peeling off a small amount and folding but after the first initial full stick of that amount I move forward with heat tensioning the rest

So if all the corners are rounded do you just do the same thing all the way around? And would you do the 4 rounded corners first and then do the straight edge in between the corners or would you just work your way around? Thanks!
@DRIFTER_Official2 ай бұрын
yes baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!❤
@ARTESIVEАй бұрын
Great question! 😊 Yes, if all the corners are rounded, you can apply the film the same way around the entire surface. We recommend starting with the rounded corners first. This allows you to smooth out the edges and avoid wrinkles. After that, you can work your way along the straight edges, gently stretching the vinyl to ensure it fits perfectly. The key is to take your time and use a heat gun or hair dryer to help stretch and smooth the film as you go. Thanks for asking and happy wrapping! 💪

You mean using it on compound curves ? I would think that if it works on that fairly sharp,curved corner a compound curve would be easy,using the heat gun. I have to update my kitchen cupboard doors, and intend to use it on them.Every corner is a compound curve. Even on my old kitchen,the covering on the corners was beginning to de -laminate,where there was any heat.So even professionally made cupboard doors can have problems.But I am sure after a couple of failed attempts I will get the hang of it. Cheaper than replacement doors. Similar film is used on Cars ,and compound curves come in abundance on vehicles. Give it a go. Hope all goes well on your project. Don.

Hello! What temperature should we be using for the heat gun! Thank you!
@ARTESIVE3 жыл бұрын
The temperature used depends a lot on the film, the distance and the work you are doing. Generally a temperature of 150-200 °C (300-400 °F) is used. However, it is possible to use a normal hairdryer, the time will be longer due to the lower temperature.

Found it useful till you didn’t show the next step of applying the back
@ARTESIVE11 ай бұрын
Hi, maybe we'll show it in the next tutorial
@Autism_Forever4 ай бұрын
I usually precut for the back to make sure I do not slice through folded over edges of front film. Matching grain or pattern is also important for good look. I move film around until I find good pattern match and then mark that spot and then draw exact required size and shape of the back from that mark. Then apply as usual - peel a little backing, fold backing paper, and start pressing. Takes a while oftentimes.
