Great job mate! Love the wood, and the cool idea on the outset outlets. Very innovative.

Love the birch. It looks like leather in the photograph.

I'm just getting started on our 71 Safari. Going to keep it mostly original but the rear bath is shot so I am starting over back there. Love the rubberized paint idea, and the birch ply. The whole thing really came out great. I'll definitely be stealing a couple of things from this.

the rubberized paint has held up quite well, would highly recomend. The birch ply is quite difficult to install but has also held up well and makes the space much softer.

So glad to find someone else who designed the interior based on fixed location! I’m working on a 1970 Airstream as an art studio. The front will be set up for glass working. Further back will be polymer clay work station. I’m taking out the bathroom. I have a question for you - how are the acoustics? I don’t see much in the way of sound absorbing materials. But I really love the look. You did a great job!

Acoustics are good, there is some reverb, but with all the odd angles and filled with furniture, and given that wood is a little softer on reflections, it's not bad. I'm sure with acoustic treatment could be better, but I find it adequate for my purposes.

@@benjaminhill8151 Do you guys happen to know where the grey/black water tank fullness meter is on these 70's argosy airstreams? Thanks again.

@@CuervoCuervo Any ideas on how to guess how full it is so I can not wind up having issues? Maybe just do it every 2 week or so?

@@CuervoCuervo Oh and what about black and grey water tanks for this version of airstream argosy? I only see one flush valve in the rear of the trailer, what gives? I thought there would be two one for each the black and grey water tanks.

I had an Argosy as well but ended up selling it to buy a 1951 Spartan Royal Mansion! My biggest hurdle right now is trying to figure out what to use on the walls that will still have a wood finish, but curve in the front corners!

Doing something similar with my airstream. Wondering what you used to seal the hidden side of the ply?
@benjaminhill8151 Жыл бұрын
I have an airgap behind the plywood, I didnt seal that side, but its also not touching anything, which allows air to flow and for the wood to dry out, time will tell whether that was the right decision, but after 3 years its doing fine.
