Hi Mila, awesome video! I already use all of the tips as I'm an hourglass, and I want to add something for the community because I think it's important: if you're an hourglass with a big bust, don't be afraid of using skinny pants or similar cuts as a slimming cut. Whenever you have more on the top, it looks good to have a form fitting cut on the bottom. I hope that makes sense, visualization is always better :)

@@lori7196 I got this top in May from Simple Retro - I LOVE the cut and how it feels, very stretchy and comfortable. The length is great/slightly cropped. it’s called “Ada” but I just checked the website and it’s no longer available. I found it on W Concept website, it’s more expensive than directly from Simple Retro, but here it is if you want to check it out 🖤 rstyle.me/+mPvmCV1343TIvVW_a6eOxw

I have come to terms that I need to tailor in the waist of 90 percent of the pants I purchase and hem them as well. I agree with the thin belt idea😊
@milainnewyork9 күн бұрын
@@lindakrol5376 🙈 sometimes that’s the best way to get that *perfect* fit! I can hem pants and take in the waist but that’s about it, a bit limited when it comes to other ways to fix pants 🤭 I try to find brands with a curvy line or just go with pieces that have some stretch ( these sometimes can work without alterations). My mom is a seamstress and I wish I could send all my pants to her, she’s so good at it but she’s in Brazil 🤣

This was so helpful. I agree to all of the types of pants/jeans you recommended. I think flare jeans look even better than boot cut on me. And skinny jeans look terrible, so I am glad other styles are fashionable now. Will have to try a skinny belt though. Love your hair in this video!

Which brands do you suggest for curvy hips?
@milainnewyork9 күн бұрын
@panic9207 for jeans I wear Abercrombie curve love (mom style, ankle length, straight leg and tapered are my favorites). For trousers, most of mine are from Sézane! Madewell and Reformation have good options too, but sometimes it’s a hit or miss. I’ll do some research and try on new brands so I can share a video about it! ♥️

I did not understand why no paterns or light colours at the bottom! And I thought you (and I in general hahah) look so much better with the boxy jacket! Aren’t these rules a tad arbitrary? I totally agree with you for the rest though :)
@milainnewyork8 күн бұрын
@@claire2278 it’s just more harmonious and these are not exactly rules :) it’s a way to observe your body by following your natural lines and enhancing them (or possibly disguising certain areas). The tweed jacket is not bad (that’s why I own it ☺️), but because it draws a straight line from my largest 2 areas (shoulder and hips) and hides my waist completely, immediately makes my legs shorter and I look as rectangular as I can be. If I wear that same boxy jacket open and with trousers + heels, it feels a lot more proportional and balanced. I do wear patterns, large prints and boxy jackets, but I’m aware of how they change my body shape and that’s the goal of the video if someone else wants to learn about it. There’s a whole science behind these “rules” and it’s honestly fascinating! ❤️ I’m going to learn more so I can share!

Your curves are in all the right places. I have wide hips but regardless the amount of exercise, no butt. So I mostly go for half tuck. Maybe one day we could get a video on my body type. I can’t be the only one? 🤔
