Maybe it is different from country to country but in the beginning, you said to add sugar. It appears you used powdered sugar. Later in the recipe, you again called for sugar, but this time it looked like you did use sugar. Powdered sugar and regular granulated sugar don't act the same in cooking, so you'll have different results if you use the wrong one. Also, you'll have better results if you "temper" your custard by adding some of the hot milk to the bowl of dissolved custard powder and *then* adding all of that to the pan of hot milk. An inexperienced cook will get scrambled eggs (as you almost did) if she adds cold dissolved custard powder to boiling hot milk. Your cake is beautiful and as a custard-lover, I will definitely make this. Thank you for a great recipe and cake video.

I tried it as i have no whipped cream, the custard was thick but not so stiff peaks, i tried to decorate with piping bag, but design was not good, then i dipped the whole cake in custard and kept it in the fridge, it tastes so good after chilled, thankyou❤️🌈
