I fixed it by simulating the clothes to an MD registered Avatar. Tehn saved it and added the garment to my custom avatar :)

I go through this with my custom avatar and I always get the error "It only works for the avatars registered in advance." I follow along every stage and create a fitting suit for my custom avatar and it never works.

@@zinteractive It was the shirt I was trying to use, if I use a different one it works. I'm really new to using it, so don't understand the entire workflow. It shows that it has a fitting suit underneath it, but when I bring in that one shirt the fitted suit disappears from my avatar.

Hi when i simulate my cloth to generate garment Fitting, it doesnt generating garment Fitting.i thought maybe i didnt register my Aavatar,but even after registering avatar and adding fitting suit.its not generating garment fitting?i dont know why

There is one issue with this, currently the MD only accepts DAZ and Iclone characters for custom avatar, is it your avatar custom made?

@@zinteractive no i saved from Maya.i figure out the problem.the problem is first i need to Simulate the Cloth in my Original File,and then save it.and then open again then you will ssee the Garment Fitting wihout saving i cant see the Garment Fitting Suit its Strange,its only happen with my Cloth i buy from Art Station,but if i use MD Builtin Avatar it can Show the Garment Fitting Wihtout saving and opneing the File,

It’s hard to apply clothing to a non tpose character, you can animate a character and give its initial key frame a tpose and last frame as what ever you want.

You need to register your avatar in marvelous designer like explained in this video.

I keep getting the error "it only works for simulated garments" im trying to autofit a outfit to a gen 3 character. The outfit is MD .Zpac file with patterns and all. I'm stuck at this point any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

i did the exact same dot locations as you yet my garment and auto fit is disfigured every time in the chest area as well as upper thighs

this could happen sometimes, you can reset the garments in 3D window and simulate again
