Love this clear and concise, is there any way to set a randomizer to pick from a pool of videos, if so I'd love to see a video on that!

Not as far as I know! It's possible someone could create a script to do that at some point... but I'd love to see Valve add official support for something like that, too!

There actually now *IS* a way to randomize a pool of videos now, using a Decky plug-in! I don't use Decky myself - and won't be making a video on it anytime soon - as it's very early in development, and I've seen a lot of reports of it causing system instability. Still, if you've got a tinkerer's spirit and don't mind your deck potentially being a bit unstable, this is an option if you want to have a randomized boot video!

Recent datamining seems to suggest that this is only the beginning of official support for custom boot videos. Someone has uncovered evidence that official custom boot videos may be coming to the Steam Points Shop: twitter.com/thexpaw/status/1580102765531258880 As someone with tons of those points and nothing I'm interested in spending them on, I'm pretty excited to have the option to have developers create custom game-themed boot videos - I feel like we could see some cool stuff!
