Great find with the downspout adapters! That's being resourceful

I keep bits of 2x4 wood around for different things. One being to act as backing behind flimsy materials that I need to use a hole saw on. You could go as far as tacking the plastic down on either side of where the pilot hole will be with a couple wood screws. Thanks for sharing.

What type of ducting tube did you get and from where? Also, leave the other vent open, it will reduce the negative pressure that is created in the wheel well.

I used this hose: www.condorspeedshop.com/collections/e30-parts/products/copy-of-3-neoprene-brake-ducting-hose

And good to know about the other vent, thanks!

Thanks again for the link. That's a pretty good price. Having a hard time finding good tubing at a reasonable price

Came across that when dealing with canards. Canards have to to be 2/3 of the way up between bottom of front bumper & top of wheel well, so the air gets deflected into the wheel well to help disperse the negative pressure.

Hmm, U mounted to ducting like that. Great and smart (and ofcourse clean) but im thinking now. How does it moves when u turn?! Is the movement so small that it just ""stretches""? Would like to see it in *action*

I made sure all the slack in the hose is by the backing plate (as opposed to under the car between the two holes), so there’s enough slack there to move with the wheel. I’ll try to get a video of it soon

Okay nice done :) Hope to see it :)

Protect those thin hoses with a rubber coating so they don't get ripped in half from road rocks

I think we're going to get some of these for our RX8 enduro 24 hours of Lemons car. but I would think this would be overkill for a street. Don't get me wrong great vid, and DIY, sometimes its just fun to make stuff.
