Thanks for the video. My 69 has the gauges in the spots for the grills to the left and right of the wheel you all know the ones. I have to look up over and around to see them. Like you I don't care about, have, or want a radio. I think I need to steal your Idea and make a plate "because I can" too and put the stock grills back in next to the steering wheel. I am thinking about sandwiching a afr gauge between oil temp and pressure. Best of all I would be able to see them at a glance. So cool when someone asks you where you got it you can say you made it. My 69 has the dash pad removed so I would need to make a backing plate to sandwich in. Up here in my area of BC its all online order, waite and pay huge shipping costs for the same old generic crap. Good work Gary. Keep it up. Only one Jawbreaker! I would know that car if I saw it anywhere in the world. Cheers!

Rob Sannes I do like the look of the gauges on both sides of the wheel.... but it’s a pain to see them just like you said. If everyone was to install the same aftermarket parts, where is the difference between the vehicles? 🤷♂️ I use to have my tach to the left of the wheel but ended up moving it.

transam197781 thanks man, still working on the wide band video..... hopefully next week for that. Oil temps have been between 180-210 so far, depending on the ambient temp here in Florida. The aluminum cases do run 10-20 degrees warmer than a Mag case but my temps have been good so far.

VWJawbreaker cool. Looking fwd to it! I just put a 1915 in my 65. And put in a carter pump and with engine running I’m only getting 3 psi at idle and when I give any throttle fuel pressure goes to zero... if I post a video and share it with ya maybe you have some ideas. Under load upon acceleration it drops down to below 10 according to my afr. I just put this motor in and have only driven a couple miles on it...

Dj H I wouldn’t worry about the fuel pressure right now, as the carbs are pulling in fuel from the floats being open, the gauge will drop down to 0.... it’s not like a fuel injection vehicle. As long as it doesn’t seem like you’re running out of gas at high rpm, let it be. As for your afr, I have some info on the video. Around 10 is too rich under load. There are a few different areas to watch, check out this link. www.aircooled.net/how-to-use-a-wideband-to-tune-your-carburetors-on-the-vw-flat-4-engine/
