I know there are a lot of arm chair quarterbacks out there, but when you decided to texture coat I was internally screaming NOOOO. I've been researching this a lot, and I think a good coat of primer first would let you get a view of the overall product, and give you time to fix what you don't like. I did glean some good ideas from you, and the dash overall looks cool.

I can appreciate that, and even though applying a texture coat wasn't my original idea, I was never going to have the final product be your typical smooth fiberglass type of finish. Overall the texture coat I used is pretty similar to the dash in my Charger that I based this dash on, just a bit rougher

Make you some rondo ...coat and sand it will be SMOOOOOTH

I think prep of fiberglass sheets is what needs to be done. Precut relief cuts so it can go around edges and then seat and lay down. I am just starting to do composites but this seems to be the trend that you prep your fiberglass early

i sprayed my stock ramcharger dash with an adjustable gun and raptor... it hid a lot and came out decent .

I think Raptor might be a little too rough for the dash...I have an idea of something that I'm going to try...just waiting for the product to arrive
