This is probably one of the best tutorial videos I've seen!!!! I was going to cut new turn signals in my saddle bags but after seeing this I might run the same system

I hope Harley sees your video so they will improve their bikes. The led lights look so much better. Great job!

This really helps! I'm still getting a full yellow light when I press the break. Turn signals and running light work fine. Added the diode to the red cable just like your video/diagram. Still get yellow with either break. Soooo frustrating. I would truly appreciate your help! 🙏🙏

By the time you’ve sent the first 3 lots back due to being made in reverse, suited for ac power and in white, it’s probably best just make your own and save the hassles!

That was cool, but I personally would prefer separate indicators (blinkers) pretty much like the originals, the rear light was great, changed the bikes personally in an instant!

Good video. But I think your schematic at the end is backwards from what is shown in the video. In the video there is only the purple wire running from the left side (the gray terminal) and connecting to the yellow wire. But in your schematic the blue, black, and purple wires are all running from the gray terminal. I’m a little confused.

Appreciated your video on the R/B/T rear light installation, extremely helpful. Can I ask what is the item #, product #, or model # of the tail light itself? Thanks. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Really cool. I worry a bit that its a bit hard to distinguish which direction you are turning. With the flashing I dont get a good indication of left or right. But looks great overall.

Hello. can you send me a link of the amazon product? i see a couple of them. Im wondering if they are all the same. Also my second question is have you figured out how to get the tail light to light up the whole bar and not just the middle. I'm not sure if its just the wiring. But in the pictures of the ones i saw on amazon. The pictures for their tail light shows the whole bar light up for the tail light and it gets brighter for the stop light and the turn signals work the same way. which is independent. Thank you. Great video by the way. tnx

I bought front blinkers for my Harley and the stock blinkers have 3 wires. But the led blinkers I bought have only 2 wires. They say it’s for my bike. Can I wire the 2 wires up to the one wire and then the other one is for ground? Thanks for your time.
@averageguyantics4095 жыл бұрын
The three wires is because your front blinkers also serve as running lights. If you don’t care about running lights then just find the wire that has constant power and tape it off. Use the other power and ground wires to connect the blinkers. If you want to maintain running lights it can be done on a two wire blinker but requires a couple resistors and a couple diodes.
@Doubledge5 жыл бұрын
Ok. I’ll look into on how to do that. Never done it before. Thanks for your time.
@diegoantequera6 жыл бұрын
Awesome job! Do you have plans for the frontal turn signals too? I think it just make sense all lights be in a retangular led shape, following the headlights style
@averageguyantics4096 жыл бұрын
I do actually. I found some really sweet rectangular led’s out of a company in Germany.

The indicator section, is it a red or an amber light? I only ask because I’d like to do a similar thing to one of my bikes but in Australia, the indicator lamps must be amber.

Will this modification void your warranty? Especially cutting odm harness? Just curious
@noedits53904 жыл бұрын
depends on where you are, and your dealership, but generally speaking it will only void your warranty in the case of there being a failure that could reasonably have been caused by your wiring. so for instance if your bike catches fire from an electrical failure of the lighting system, you're up shit creek. if the engine were to seize it would be really hard to justify. if your engine started leaking oil, there's not much they could blame on you

Instead of the wobbly calipers, why didn't you just put a piece of cardboard against the line you had and then draw around the top of the fender onto the cardboard,; and then cut the cardboard just beneath the line you'd drawn, to give you a perfectly flush fit curved template?

@averageguyantics4097 жыл бұрын
Maybe not the gentlest set down, but they weren't thrown. Usually I have the case sitting on my bench but for some reason I left it under. Either way you're right, certainly not the way to treat some expensive calipers.
