Hey guys, within the video descriptions I have included links to the tools and equipment that I use, along with many other items you see in the videos. Check them out!

I cant wait to get back and do some diamond searching.... wet sifting and all... still brainstorming ways to really improve the volume too... i thought up something like say, if you has a large 24 by 24 inch 20 mesh screen that could sit in the wash basin, and then some other screen to get the larger material out right there, and just collect up your 20 mesh+ material and have the silt wash through as you worked you could run so much volume without having to shake the screen yourself... thats one problem i see in more volume is, more weight to process per bucket of material to run... so, maybe if you had a screen set on a frame that you could mechanically shake so the silt washes through, and something that can spin within the screen to rake up the material and move it around to process faster. it woudl be super cool if you could make a sort of miniature Trommel that could continuously process material and move the larger stuff out of the way or off to a trolley you could haul off later once that was full. then you woudl only need some one to haul buckets to the machine and only take home the concentrated gravels after 6 hours of washing or so... if you could run a 5 gallon bucket of material in less than 30 seconds.... thats a significant amount of potential volume. in any case, i love thinking about this sort of thing, its so fun haha...

there have been a couple trommels made and they do work, but then you have to keep them fed too. Plus, there will always be the issue of water supply.

Hey Solomon! I like this set up. It seems that every time I go to the Crater, I drop my equipment off at the wash station, and I am almost always the only person there. I go to the field to get my buckets, drop off about 6 of them, then go back out to get the rest of my buckets and come back to find that someone moved my stuff (except the buckets) and is working right where I was set up, with no other spaces at the wash stations being used. That has happened the last 3 times I went to the Crater. It drives me nuts, so I have been thinking of the best ways to have my own set up out in the field. Thanks for the video!! You going to be making anymore videos soon, now that the weather is getting nicer?

Hey buddy!! I hope to get back down there again soon. I still need to finish a couple videos I had started and didn’t have proper footage for. It definitely gets frustrating in the wash pavilions when people fail to respect personal space😂. Having a wash station set up of your own helps for sure! Hope to run into you soon!

How often is the search field turned over?
@TheArkansasDiamondMiner4 жыл бұрын
There is no set schedule for plowing, it is dependent upon the weather, availability of equipment, labor, etc.
