Yep, that’s probably how it’s gonna go with my bill toone mistake after another! I’m trying to plan it so that I have to have the least cuts possible like instead of making it a 7 foot roof make it an 8 foot sheet. Or order the boards, the length that they need to be instead of my having to cut them. I wish I had a house to attached to that saves a lot of money right there.

I wonder if you could run pipes from the ceiling over the planters and hook it up to water with a valve and just open the valve or even put it on a timer relay of some sort like an irrigation system. Pretty baller if you ask me, looks sick so far!

Epic idea!!!

If you put planters down the middle you can incorporate the supports.

what you could do is for the intake get another one of those fans, wire the two together, then wire to the thermostat. the intake fan you just reverse directions. and this way they both turn on together.

Better get that A frame built on the new land before more semi-pro offspring appear. I've got 3 teenager's and decorating the house is beginning to take way to long. Great vid as always 👌

Looks pretty good. However you didn't mention flashing. You need like a partially folder length of aluminum. One side goes under the siding just above your roof and the other goes on top of the roof . This will keep water from sitting on the top of your back wall frame or roof edge and cause it to roll down the roof. Roofing nails just below the clap board with caulking over the nail heads and caulking or that correlated foam blocking bugs, wind and rain from going up the roof under the flashing. Good project. Future idea might be a gutter on the front of the greenhouse feeding into a screened water barrel to collect rainwater for the plants.

If the fan turns on and off by itself, shouldn't the vents open and close by themselves? If you have to manually open and close the vent it kinda negates the automatic fan switch.
@cotton-Dave2 жыл бұрын
Wayne--He explained in this video that the reason he installed manual vents for incoming is so the FIL can close them in the cooler/colder weather.

Some schools of thought about pressure treated wood for planters if in contact with soil - is not theoretically that safe. I'm guessing there are non-toxic varieties.
@WoodnessGoodness2 жыл бұрын
I’m going to make it with the metal primarily. Pressure treated to add strength to the outside…

Stop using an impact drill for door frames it will sink the screws further into the metal and wood and ruin the frame
