Nice Anthony. Leather and lace. Details, details. I also love tailpieces. Hard to get a nice one that’s not antique, so make your own. Kudos.

Fabulous, but I don’t think I’d expect anything less. I too love a tail piece and agree with a comment earlier it’s hard to find a nice one. Awesome soundtrack too. The leather looks really nice I bet your trainers have the fanciest laces...

more holes? really, you surprise me 😆 I suppose it was a matter of time before the leather came out :D

Love what you are doing. Leather was a surprise. Thought doing the same with some antiqued silver wire could also work with the copper.👍🏽
@4thAvenueGuitars3 жыл бұрын
It was a toss up between the leather and some brass wire, but the body is from the other half of the blank I used last year, so I thought a bit of leather would tie them together nicely.

Looking great. Have you considered putting something like stainless steel ferrules in your string holes? just a bit concerned that the copper will be a little too elastic to hold strings effectively without reinforcement. Love what you're doing regardless All the best 👍✌😎
@4thAvenueGuitars3 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I did think about reinforcing the holes, but it’s 2mm thick copper and took some serious beating to shape so I think it’ll be strong enough. If there’s any movement I’ll modify it in the future

@@4thAvenueGuitars was even thinking a brass plate same width with string holes on the underside may work well, just thoughts to try and help keep tuning stability in a system that can be tough. All the best buddy Take care 👍✌😎 forgot to say it's the sawing/filing action of putting strings in that I was more concerned with than it holding them in place, food for thought ;) all the best

I like the metal work. The leather may be overkill.
@4thAvenueGuitars3 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I get where you’re coming from on the leather. It needed something to make it stand out from the rest of the copper. It does look a bit much on its own, but on the guitar it definitely makes sense.
