Was parked at a truck stop in Washington a few weeks ago and saw that unit pass by but didn't catch the number. Nice work and thanks for sharing - now I can try to build one in N scale.

Also noticed the Montana- based layout. Love driving through Montana and seeing all that stuff. Delivered lumber in Bozeman a couple weeks ago and unloaded next to a couple of idling EMDs and it was cool. Working on my rookie layout based in Illinois / Missouri, but next I want to build an MRL (RIP)/BNSF layout based on the line between St.Regis, Paradise, and Thompson Falls.

Since I’m a BNSF employee I appreciate your effort. Very typical of how these engines are shoved out the door no matter what they look like.
@kylescustomtrainsАй бұрын
Thanks! BNSF definitely seems to be a bit more lenient about how they're locomotives look compared to other railroads but it makes it that much more interesting to model that's for sure

I have something similar, except it’s a Bluebox dummy. Also, where did you get that shop building in intro?
@kylescustomtrainsАй бұрын
I'm not entirely sure, it's a part of my club layout that's been there longer than I have. More than likely a Walthers kit I'd say

Dude, $500 on eBay for this….you people need serious help. Yes it’s nice, yes it’s custom but goddamn. You could buy almost 3 brand new motors for that. If you can make this kinda money though Kyle, you keep doing it brotha. A fool and his money are always parted.
@BNSF1848Ай бұрын
Up to 700 as I type
@grantv2313Ай бұрын
What have you modeled lately? You ever worked on a project like this? From someone that has, $500 would have been a deal. Sounds like it went for more. A normal one from factory is going to be over $300.
@phaloxxАй бұрын
@@grantv2313 I’m currently working on 11. Yes 11 shells at the same time. So yeah, I know full well what the time invested versus what something is worth. Most people can’t or won’t invest the time to build something like this. I get it. Ive got over 80 hours into what my rendition of a gp70 would or should have looked like.
