That looks very impressive. The basic building really scales up well. I think it's the stone on the ground floor and the columns. It looks very old fashioned and sturdy. Well done. I still haven't decided what to do with mine. I must be the only person who wants to remove the Sanctorum theme and make it generic!
@GJBricks5 жыл бұрын
I kept the Sanctum theme but was really done to look more normal from the outside and keep the exciting stuff inside. Think it looks quite inconspicuous bar the round window (and Spider-Man). Lol! I think the LEGO designers are doing better and better designs of these kinds of sets. Think it’s come heavily from the creator line. I do think I’ll trim the bottom a little more than it is though. Look forward to seeing how you un-sanctum the set 😃

Some very interesting aspects to this build, Greg. The round window is something that strikes me as a very likeable feature although I might have personally tried having the glass the same angle as the roof. But that's just me. The shaping of the stairwell has been done well - I appreciate that. The modular layers work - they connect well with the stair points but also allow some breathing room for playability. I even liked the tree! Thumbs up from me. 👍😀
@GJBricks5 жыл бұрын
Thank you sir! I agree on the window. How it is now is actually how it was mounted in the original set. I'm thinking I might redo those angled roofs in the sand green as that's closer to the movie and then try to re-engineer that window angle. It's a nice piece though (and I have a 2nd once for something else!). And it was a close run thing with the space, I felt it really needed that "statement" entrance. I'd have liked to make the building 2 studs bigger in each direction, but parts bin and budget said no - and tbh, I think it's a good size overall. And I've been working on my trees. Got a couple of styles I've been using, and this is the simpler one. Thanks for watching and the great comment!

This set looks awesome! I would say, the only things needed to add onto the set, is a few modifications at the roof, now that "Endgame" has since released! I would love to see the Ancient One and Banner having an encounter up top!
@GJBricks4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! And I totally agree! I'm going to be revisiting it. I want to change the interior ground floor to probably makes the stairs a little smaller so I can add more in. Then detail it better. And the roof was never right. Really need to revisit it. I had actually considered adding another floor too. But that might be too much. What do you think?
@gojiking54564 жыл бұрын
@@GJBricks Opening up the interior sounds like a great idea! More room for little wizard knick-knacks. But, I think another level to the building could work out well, if done right. In fact, we know that there is a room in the sanctum full of relics & artifacts in glass cases. Same room where Strange gets his Cape! As for the roof, absolutely!! In all honesty, a revisiting of this piece would be a welcome edition in any regard ❤

It is an amazing MOC, beautiful details, clever use of parts. Even though the grand staircase is beautiful indeed, I like more the smaller one. The technique you used. Maybe you should try tiling up the interior floors too? It might give a more complete look. Like it is now it is also fantastic.
@GJBricks5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment! The stairs are big but I just loved it. I could make them steeper so it looses one or two steps - one being the wisest one - which will make it take up less space. That way I can add a little more furniture to that lower level. I think the middle floor is perfect as is though. And I’m debating the tiling and what colours to use. Glad you liked it! Was a great fun build.
