Custom made pig dehairing tool

Custom made tool to dehair a pig, hog, boar, swine. Cost about $10.00 to made this thing. We are planning to custom a handle for the dehairing tool to make the job easier. This custom tool is just a getto homemade tool to use. I went to Menards and bought a round metal bar that will fit into my drill and cut it to the length that I like. For the metal plate/sheet I just use the left over flat metal sheet and also cut it into 4 little pieces. Had my brother inlaw weld it onto the metal bar. Cost less then $10 to do it yourself. You can buy something like this for like $75.00-$150.00 online.

Slip a pipe with a T-handle welded/clamped to it over the shaft for better, easier control. Could even keep it in a certain location with two washers and two hose clamps.

How is that thing cutting the hair? It doesn’t look like a razor blade at a steep angle to cut the hair. It looks like it’s making contact with the hair at a 90 degree angle, which doesn’t really make any sense since anything sharp doesn’t cut hair at that angle.

It’s not cutting the hair. The hog has been scalded with hot water and now the first layer of skin and the hair is scraping off.

It’s just getto custom. We buy the metal plate and bar. Grind the plate into pieces and weld it onto the bar.

Boil some water first. Pour the hot water onto the pig. Then use this custom tool to take off the hair on the pig. Repeat until satisfied/done.
