Custom Motorcycle Headlight Housing Install | Honda Cb500f Cafe Racer Build #4
Back in January of 2019 I purchased this 2013 CB500F from a Copart auction. It was stolen and recovered. Due to this, it had two different coats of spray paint on it and overspray everywhere.
For this build I wanted to use a custom led motorcycle headlight. The CB500F headlight conversion was done using custom designed housing and brackets. I think the round headlight gives the bike a nice look and it's something different.

I will be calling this CB500F build a cafe racer. There are other CB500F custom motorcycles out there that are being called brat or scrambler. I plan on putting a cowl behind the seat, so I guess that makes it a cafe racer.

I can’t wait for my Instrument cluster bracket comes in Monday that I ordered lookin forward to changing it up next is the headlight kit just wish you can get it in 7 inch but I’ll do it for five and three-quarter thanks for everything keep up the awesome videos ✌🏻🏍

Your headlight is nice, but I think you could consider a tiny windshield above the light because there is an empty space that looks a bit off.

Why you didn't show us it's Night Illumination test ??? You should do a night test at the end of the video to show its effectiveness.

I like what you are doing so far keep uploading the vids. Few things I would like to say. 1st what is your plans for the radiator shrouds? I think the bike would look good without them but seems like they are doing a lot for protecting wires and holding up the radiator. Another thing I really like from another KZbinr "Jake the garden snake" is he provides huge detail when he take things off or adds. Explaining sizes and purpose. You mentioned you did some "custom wiring but we didn't get to see it. It would be interesting and informative to see what you did.

Thanks for the feedback! I plan to keep the radiator shrouds. They could be easily removed, because they do not actually support anything. I do need to clear up the wiring. I will go over it in more detail in another video.

The kits you show on choicecitymoto…. Is that all I’d need to pull off the old clunky OEM headlight/speedometer combo from my 2014 CB500f and replace? Any weird wiring issues? Or good to go with just the kits and tools? I LOVE your design, it’s like a brand new bike.

The headlight plugs right into the stock harness on the 2014 CB500F, so no issues there. All the wiring for the speedometer reaches the new location. The only other thing you would need is new turn signals.

The headlight uses a H4 connector. That's probably what your bike has now. If not you can get them just about anywhere. Does that answer your question?

I don't know. If it has an H4 connector, you should be good to change to pretty much anything.

It does matter. You need to pick the diameter that matches your fork tube diameter where the light will mount.

It's from Amazon. Search this "B07FCGW2WW" on Amazon. That is the exact one I purchased. The only reason was Amazon Warehouse had one for about half price at the time.
