I’m so happy to see the return of the Rat Bike! You did such a excellent job on the old bandit, I’m sure this will be show worthy for sure!

Saw you at Central Coast last year! You should come down to Babes in Borrego in November. The riding in the San Diego mountains is amazing.

Polycarbonate (Lexan, Makrolon...)is a very nice material. It will resist shocks without breaking with sharp bits. Just take care when heating : it may whiten (small bubbles forms inside). Then be aware that it will crack under stress IN THE LONG TERM. If bent too hard or bolted without rubber grommets it WILL develop cracks, slowly...but surely. Transparent plastics are NOT all the same, make sure you choose the right sort.

You could just get a thicker polycarbonate piece and make it a one piece. Great video chica

I think you could make some struts that go up to the bolts. Probably make it rigid enough. 🤷🏻♂️

Sorry to hear about the back....hope you improve quickly. I was thinking "structure" might be the best solution and maybe it's worth a shot. In the meantime, ryde safe!
@theodorstravels2 жыл бұрын
you'd probably need much stiffer sheet. I think it will also be better to make it all from one piece. With a heatgun and some kind of mold, which you could even carve from wood, you should be able to make your custom shape rather easily.

I think you could have a taller screen, but it might need to be wider and stiffer to combat the highway speeds. Take a look at screens from the Honda PC800, they seem to be able to do the job.

I think it was a decent effort, for a first try! It just needs a bit of structure and maybe some fabbing for rigidity and neatness. Haha, nice poses at the end. They remind me of how I feel every time something new is wrong with the cars 😅.

How to become a professional bike mechanic of adventure bike ? [ please make a video on this].
@Scootin_yinzer2 жыл бұрын
In the spirit of rat bike my first thought was old style towing mirrors that double as bracing struts. Could delete the bar ends but would require a bit of fiddling to get the mount right

It's a shame you aren't doing videos anymore. I watched 3 and you certainly have the personality for it. As a creater myself i understand the gap between your fun passion and the work of editing. But sharing the passion can lessen the aggravating editing. So can engaging with the viewers comments. You've had a lot of success so far, and i just watched the "I'm back" vid. So let's see if you've found the balance between the work and the fun. But no sense subscribing if you're not really back...
