Ooooo that’s a nice finish! Curious how well it holds up with fine scratches! For the logo, I think a cerakote, media blasting or even anodized finish would really tie the appearance of the calipers together

Yeah we shall see about the durability. I do plan to ceramic coat them. Good ideas on the logo. I’ll have to research the different options

Thanks for sharing this video Chris, nice NA1. Our family has stock Black 91. Your video couldn't have come at better timing. I am torn as I have the exact two (caliper) setups for my 04 Accord coupe V6-6mt. Spoon (CL-7) just arrived last week from Japan and I also bought a set of ST40 with fitment for TSX locally. I plan on these for track. I find the Spoons build quality just superb, ST40 my is worn out so can't really say (peeling paint and all). My ST40 was from 2010, the aluminum caliper to knuckle brackets have cracks so I am getting them remade in Steel, keep an eye on yours, although they seem to be in great shape. Spoons are steel brackets which I appreciate. I would like to know if you feel any big difference from the Spoons to the St40s in fade and modulation? ST40 have advantage due to the bigger rotor and being 2-piece rotors. Cheers.

I haven't tracked with either brake setup, so can't comment on fade. modulation feels really good with the stoptechs though. The ST40 kit should out perform the spoons all day long providing you can rebuild them and get those new brackets made. In my case, upgrading to 4 pots all around made a huge difference in feel. I assume you're only doing the fronts for your Accord though so may not be as drastic as a difference as I've felt. But as you suspect, the bigger rotors will make the most difference on the track. So if you're mostly focused on track performance, definitely go with the one with bigger rotors.

@ChrisLumNSX thank you sounds good. Since I got both I can test them out! The rears on the Accord I upgraded to Hybrid brackets which uses 22mm bigger rotor from 260 to 282mm. Small improvement. Maybe save my Spoons for the NA1 lol.

What are your wheels specs? I have a BBK calipers for my TSX and the Mugen MF10 is what I plan on getting. I’m thinking 17’s or 18’s Beautiful NSX 😍
@ChrisLumNSX2 ай бұрын
Thanks! They fronts are 17x8.5 +40. Clears the BBK with a lot of room to spare. I don't think any other 17" MF10 will clear a BBK without a spacer besides this spec.
@Buddyscreation410Ай бұрын
@@ChrisLumNSXI think that will work on my tsx. I have a set of EVO BBS MR’s. I believe they are 17x8 +38 and they clear just fine. So MF10 in that spec should work. Thank you 🤙🏽
