Rediscovering these soundtrack's after years apart and I am so impressed. This game new what it was doing and it did it so well. Nothing else out there like it and Nintendo does...nothing with it. A game like Battle Revolution made for this generation's level of development would be so amazing

If they could work on a bit of larger scale multiplayer mechanics, like team deathmatches and that sort of thing, with the same concept and customizable load outs (whilst making better parts attainable through leveling like Battlefield), Custom Robo would make games like Titanfall seem weak in comparison. Of course, 1v1 mode would be a must!!

Spencer Stutzman well said! I agree 1000%! This is one of my favorite games on the GameCube and it has aged so well! A reboot for the Nintendo switch would be a dream come true.

@Lynx Kuroneko 100 player modes sounds like a heavy investment into multiplayer. I like Nintendo's focus on Single Player and Single Console Multiplayer, with enough internet multiplayer allowed to where it's interesting, but not so resource intensive that they lose more than they would have made without it. Just take a look at what this approach has done to EA, I love their older Need for Speed games, now EA's become the pit of the gaming industry. Up to 10 player though, that sounds plausible.

Well, careful what you wish for. Custom Robo got a spiritual successor in the form of Synaptic Drive on Switch. It had a rocky development cycle and it shows. I guess check it out if you can find it on sale, but the asking price of $30 is really not worth it, unfortunately. Mechanically, it's similar, but Custom Robo, it is not. :/

Crazy how somebody mentioned how the Og melody like main battle them from the first one still in here and didn’t realize it till recently. The custom robo series is a amazing and seeing people still go at it online with all these crazy setups and actually seeing the beauty of all these stages I used to throw shade at. And with a bit more of a comp mindset… custom robo is truly amazing

knowing sakurai, he would probably have a difficult time because the whole premise of custom robo is customization, so he would feel the need to try to add some sort of customization feature to the character in smash. seems like it would be difficult to implement. This might also be why they added Ray as a Mii Gunner costume, since u can change the mii fighters' movesets
