Thanks dude! I still would love see an OC clone of legion from your workbench! It took ages for me to slowly make all of these, but it could also work to sketch or write down ideas for what you’d want to do! I’ve got a note on my phone and a ton of sketches I made as I slowly designed these fellas!

This is super cool, I've actually been making my own OC Clone Division for over a year now, but instead of physical figures I make 3D models. I recently ran out if ideas for armor designs but this video really got my creative juices flowing. It's super cool to see someone else making their own OC Clones as well

@@RustbeltCollector unfortunatly not yet, I've been thinking about making one for them but I make them for VRChat currently, since it allows me to wear them in Virtual Reality so I haven't gotten around to taking group picks of them. But if you want to try your hand at making some, we can exchange contact details and I can get you the base models and show you how to work with all the textures if you don't already

I love your custom clones. Despite you saying they weren’t the best, I think they have a very unique charm to them. I’m in the process of customizing my Bootleg Phase 1 Clone wars style Figures to have black accents. It doesn’t matter if your custom figures are perfect, because at the end of the day they’re still one of a kind!

Such awesome customs! I customize 6 inch scale clones, also. However, I mostly do characters from The Clone Wars show that we’ll probably never get an official figure of: guys like Hardcase, Waxer & Boil, Gregor, Ponds, Keeli, Comet, Boost, Sinker, etc. It is such an amazing feeling to see your own creations up there on the shelf alongside official Black Series clones! An it can get a little addicting 😂 Absolutely love your customs, brother. And I love that your write your own backstories for them. So creative. Keep up the great work! 👍 MTFBWY… always.

Definitely dig your custom work. A suggestion in regards to your figures with finish issues.......personally I would soak the affected figures in warm soapy water for a few minutes and lightly scrub them with a green scotch brite pad then air dry. I wouldn't worry about scuffing the under coat, as a weathered look is what you want anyway. Also in the future try using a watered down Mod Podge solution {1-4} to seal your work. Though i dont know the exact name of the plastic, but that what is causing the issue basicly the plastic and paint wont allow for proper adhesion. I get great results using only the cheapest dollar tree and Walmart acrylics. I dont bother finish coating as they are dis play pieces, but if i did, Id do the Mod Poge method for acrylic on plastic.

I’ve had good luck with using Modge Podge brush on Matte finish for covering up tacky finishes. . The more you dilute it with water, the foster the sheen is

I think for a good movie vibe you need a certain amount of white or plain color. Captain Rant has a good balance and I think that's why he looks so cool.

I rather like your homebrew Clone Trooper Legion, the color scheme is sharp IMO. I do believe the tackiness with the paint comes from using acrylic paints on vinyl figures, they never fully dry and become very glossy. I think you need to use enamel paints on vinyl surfaces to avoid the super glossy tacky finish. Good luck!

hey rust belt, love your figures! If i could make a suggestion: if you plan on reworking that arc trooper you should give him a range finder like captain rex or fives/echo instad of the sun visor. it would be a bit more accurate, not to mention it would stand out a lot more next to the other sun visors and macro binoculars! Keep up the great work!

Did you try baby powder or starch to remove the tacky? Water will knock out the powder look and make it less tack if it doesn't knock out the tack entirely.
