Custom SMW Music - The Lullaby

A2mt's final boss music! Several of the main melodies are renditions of a thing raocow did, but for the most part this is my original work.

A2MT actually just recently got "finished". that is, all the levels that raocow played in his zombie LP got combined into one rom hack. it's not the true A2MT of course but it's probably the closest thing we'll ever get.

yep, there's an OW map. not sure about the final boss part though since I really haven't looked into it much but the general collecting dragon coins/treasures gimmick seems to be there.

Some of those notes sound really melancholic, it makes me want to know more about this game, the protagonist, and that Emperor. Who is he? Was he an unjust tyrant? Is this his comeuppance? Does this melody represent retribution? Is this a tragedy? Or is it just the grand conclusion to an old, forgotten tale? I'd really like to know more about all of this.

Well, there is the hack, A Super Mario Thing, for SNES. It was uploaded to SMW Central recently. There is also 2 "not official" prequels, A Mario X Thing (Prelude to stupid) and A Second Mario X Thing (Analog funk), made in the Super Mario Bros X engine. They have a very nice world building, and for some reason there is a lot of melancholy, but technically, the story isn't a very important part of the games.

This song reminds me of Tokyo teddy bear dunno why. also when i read a2mt had been cancelled i felt literally sad, this was worthy of being a full hack. then i found out it was revived.

Seems perfect if the hack ended in a Cliffhanger and this plays in the credits because nothing is resolved. The loop at the end seems fitting for the "TO BE CONTINUED" text, although it can get annoying if it happens to be the screen where you have to reset the SNES.

if this is a final boss, they should have you save each time you try to enter the stage, and if you make it to the boss and die, have it so you respawn immediately at the start of the fight without stopping the music. lol i bet you either cant do that at all or it would be pretty tough to set up.

There's not, the version in the video never had a working spc, it only sounded right in zsnes. I don't have the original wav or txt, so ripping the mp3 from KZbin is the only option.
