This is awesome, man! I've said it before, but I really appreciate the detailed breakdowns of how you make these, and you've done an excellent job of condensing it into a shorter form while still presenting oodles of useful information. I really like your camo figures; I didn't think I would ever attempt a camo clone, but I'm seriously considering it thanks to you.

James I’m really happy to hear you will give it a shot. I am happy to dole out some of my experience as this is only my second camo I’ve done (first being the ARF). I think the take away for myself on this is using the paint retarder helped make the paint a lot smoother. Good luck w yours and feel free to share your findings!

Hey man, where did you get that armor strap from? Looks great dude.

hey um the headsculpt is a modified KO or did you resin print the whole head as well
@ka-bashedfigures8342 жыл бұрын
Great question. I originally had a segment of this video addressing this but I cut it out to make it more concise. I used resin print from John Walker- it’s the “officer helmet.” I originally wanted to use my spare Cmd Cody headsculpt. The advantage is that Cody can remove the visor making it much easier to paint. But then I noticed that the helmet proportion is so much better on the resin print. Cody helmet for some reason is more elongated front to back. So is Fox (though Fox is so much more rare now and I only have one. Don’t want to sacrifice that figure 😂). Resin is ok to paint though. I ran into some trouble when I applied too much paint on the head trying to spray into hard to reach places in the sculpt (far inside the visor).

@@ka-bashedfigures834 thanks for explaining it. also agreed on the cody head being elongated front to back. really love ur custom work, hope to see more soon.
