Just starting out learning bubble today and came across your channel. I'm a dev but new to no-code tool. Luckily I saw this today and realized how important the topic is --STATES, it works like a variable, and in your example, a page-level var. I'm sure will be using this technique in my very first app! THANK YOU! You are good at explaining concepts! As for suggestion, perhaps it would be easier to understand the objects and levels by giving them more descriptive name? For example, the page "state", I would name it "pgTeamProj" or "pgTeams", the state variable for page's "team", to "pgTeamProj_teamState" or "teamState" or "teamSelectedValue". LOVE your example of check button list for team members!

How about nested lists/groups/states? I let users add items, which in turns own properties, which in turn has their properties. Is it enough that the top-level is a state, and anything I create and add to that state will be deleted, or do I need to make a state for each level if I want it to be temporary until saved? (and how do I save it if all levels are state, can I just save the top level, or do I need to go through each level and move it from the state to the database? Than you for great content!

Extremely helpful thank you! I'm having trouble resetting states after a new project is created. So you added a project name and selected the members. If you add a second project the same members are still selected. Using reset relevant inputs only resets the name field. Is there a way to reset the members to unchecked?

Have two questions. 1) At 4:31 you're setting the state. You chosen the data type 'team' which is a DB in your app. Does this matter? Can it be simply 'text'? 2) I have a trouble to set the value field. In my case, the value I want to set stays red .

You can set a state list of anything you like. Text, images, files, booleans - as long as it matches the db field you're saving that list too.
