You should do a video just showing this trucks drivetrain....whoever built it nailed it.

Is this running the stock 540 motor from the kit? It acts like a crawler type setup.
@albertascaletruck68029 ай бұрын
It is a 540 motor with a rc4wd crawler transmission, 6 wheel drive and locked diffs

Love your videos and your builds. Is that yellow hockey skate laces turned into tie downs straps? If so, brilliant!!!

Great track.. very ingenious. Just finishing my globeliner. How did you place /secure the MFU into the cabin? The instruction manual says stick with shock absorber tape to the roof but all the videos I have watched have nothing on the cabin ceiing. Pls advice.

If this isn't too late... I'm going to start my Globe Liner soon, and like my Grand Hauler, I'm making a wall out of .060" Styrene. Ill be putting it behind the seats and mounting all electronics behind it. That way I can have a full, detailed Interior!
@elektrosmokes19113 жыл бұрын
Beautiful truck! What transmission are you using??
@CarminesRCTipsandTricks3 жыл бұрын
That was amazing!! I'm about to build my first... You've obviously locked the rear Axles, because I saw Air under the Tires, and no crazy spinning. What I NEED to know is, HOW did you get so much Suspension in the Front Axle?? EVERY Video I've seen so far shows only about 1/8" to 3/16" of Leaf Spring deflection. 😲 Even the Rears seemed more articulated. Is there any build Videos on this Rig?
@albertascaletruck68023 жыл бұрын
No build video unfortunately, Rc4wd Z-boxes and Shooter shackles were used to mount the front Tamiya Tundra leaf springs, and yep all the diffs are locked too. Thanks for watching PoorManRC

This is running a Factory Mabuchi silver can motor that came in the kit, coupled to an old school Rc4wd R2 transmission. Thanks for watching Ben

Thanks Socal Sean, this is a standard Tamiya flatdeck slightly modded to have rails on the side of the trailer to tie down loads.
@brianmason49685 жыл бұрын
Love this video. Great work. I'm building my trailer now and want to make the same mod. What did you use for spacers for the tie down bar? Also did you make the wooden crates?
@albertascaletruck68025 жыл бұрын
At the time I used 2,(3mm) nuts to make the spacers. Recently I picked up some 3mm x 4mm spacers from KNK hardware to replace the nuts. Yes sir all the wood crates were hand built. Thanks for watching Brian Mason!

Hi I want to convert my Knight Hauler to 6x6 do you know where I can buy the parts?
@albertascaletruck68025 жыл бұрын
Hey T Bro I used the Rc4wd R2 transmission mounted between the frame rails and a Tamiya high-lift front axle. Also the front leaf spring is from the Tamiya high-lift Tundra kit, they are a little shorter than the Ford and Hilux leafs. i ordered all these parts from Ebay
@TBrowisdom5 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot for the info! I’m also about to add real exhaust pipes and smoke to my rig. You should too man! I can’t find that front differential for sale anywhere so I bought a different one that I heard will work. I thought about just buying one of those trucks just for parts. Did you have to drill your own holes to mount it, and what gear did you use on the output shaft of the original transmission to turn the additional tranny?
