Aaron West there could be a stupidly OP power boost to compensate for that. Plus the potaras can be destroyed easily, this makes them a huge weak spot, and Vegito does like to mess around so it is more likely he would fall for a “Let me have one shot to hit you as hard as I can!” Just to mock his opponent

City Guard it's already proven that potara fusion is stronger than the fusion dance. Potara is Person A * Person B while fusion dance is Person A + Person B and requires equal power levels.

as much as I would have loved for this to happen fusion dance isn't as efficient potara fusion and in this form would only last at most a few minutes gogeta is still my favourite character though

Who really even knows if there will even be this fusion in the series. I admit it would be cool, but if you didn't see the latest episode they went back to the present because of Mai. After all both Goku and Vegeta said they would never fuse again.
