Custom Torch longer capacity.

LONGER LASTING PENCIL Flaim TORCH.
I like these torches as they are but they don't last very long between refills.
Essentially I am knocking the head valve with torch and the fill valve off and replacing the center with a larger capacity tank made from copper parts. These little torches can get clogged after some time and you can remove the head and spray wash with carb cleaner or other. I have one of these heads placed on regular plumbers soldering tank using the valve part with this little torch lasts forever. Also, have another connected to a similar tank with a long hose to the torch. Both work well for small flame work.

Nice, but I would have added weight to the base to improve stability. As it is, it feels like it could easily be knocked over.

You are right. Never really dropped over, but some time later, it started leaking. I should have used better glue on the gas connector. I'll probably make another one day. The tourch lasts some time without refills, though.

@@moonolyth You have space in the base to fill it with cement and solder a circle (with hole for the valve) so that it stays fixed. I love it. I want them both the buyed and the customized.
