I reckon water in headboard is good, getsvit as far forward in front of wheels.
@NorthOz7 ай бұрын
My understanding is watertanks in the headboard push the canopy further back which will cause the weight of the canopy to be back too which won’t be good either. I’ll see where the water tank is placed and let you guys know where it ends up 👍

I was going down that path but the weight factor was too much of a worry for me so I just bought another Troopy.

Fair enough. Every setup has its advantage and disadvantage. It’s all about what works for you 👍

Nice build Do u have a gvm upgrade have u looked at the weights of everything
@Nick.w236 ай бұрын
@@michaelwines7546Mark’s 79 is the upgraded one from factory where the gvm is rated to about 3.5tonne, which leaves a payload of around 1400kg, which is plenty for even a family of 4, unless you take your whole house with you lol.

@@Nick.w23look forward to the progress its interesting I have the new 24 model v8 with a steel tray and 2 people and full fuel weighed in at 2780 which only leaves 720kg understanding the tray is probably about 350 Toyota says a kerb weight of 2240 Be interesting to see the weights when done

Isn’t this rear heavy with the spare hanging off back?
@NorthOz7 ай бұрын
The canopy is shorter than the current tray and the wheel currently sits at the back of the Toyota tray (although it lays down). The weight of the wheel in my opinion will be negligible as it will sit closer to the front than the current wheel position. I’ll ask Pete about it though to see what he reckons 👍

@@NorthOz i am no expert. I read heavy tires off the back result in front end lifting. If you look at Ronny’s 79 the spare wheels are on top of the rear axel.
