Custom tree theme drum kit for Josh Dun's studio!

We collaborated with Josh Dun's dog Jim to secretly build Josh a kit for his new studio. He gave us the tip that Josh really likes treehouses so we built this over the top custom treehouse theme kit filled with surprises for Josh!
Drum Specs:
8x12, 14x16, 16x18, 18x22, 7x14 snare
M5 and M7 Maple shells w/ 45° edges
Wood hoops on toms
Flat black hardware

How is it possible for the kick to sound so good, I'm guessing a reso head is on the inside there and the tree rings are like a cap over the top? I want to know more!

No reso head. It's a solid cookie slab with the inside face recessed/carved out using a vertical mill and rotary table. As for sound, probably a mix of the mics and triggers.
