What’s wrong with that? Tradesmen build their tools up over time, if his business has been successful then of course he’ll buy tools that’ll make his job easier.

strong, to be sure. interlocking? yes. thick? indeed. made with every tool Festool makes? Roger that. But the final piece is inelegant. Blocky. Lacking class.

​@@jdawkins111lol elegance is so subjective though. Why does blocky make something inelegant or lacking in class? How would something like class be defined by blockiness? If class were defined by blockiness, maybe class is a contrived threshold lacking in importance, for people like you to put others down for no good reason 🤷‍♀️

Yeah, that edge sanding thingy is ridiculous. Some people buy every tool by festool just because its festool, not because it makes much sense.

Yep, honestly I don't get the point when someone starts saying: "How did they make it once, when there were just a few tools and blablabla...?" Well, once there was a different market, with different delivery times and different will of customers to pay every single damn coin a piece of furniture was worth. Oh... and still many artisans died poor and sick. Different times, different ways, different tools.

my husband and i figured out there is a local wood shop that lets you join for a monthly fee. you have to take a safety class on the machines and then you can use the shop for projects. We upcycle old furniture and its gonna make a huge difference for us

All you need is a 100,000$ shop …….hire a half decent cabinet maker….. pay him( her) 50$ hour ( probably 25-30) = 1500$. And walla !!!!! You have a unfinished table 😮

@@TearsOnAWindв россии наверное и будет стоить 500 тысяч долларов, с учетом доставки, растаможки, налогов и колоссальной прибыли фирм посредников, и да еще как серый импорт. а там, автор говорит достаточно 100 тысяч долларов. для российского дешевого труда это огромные деньги. а для них это требование, ведь стоимость рабочей силы очень высока чтобы работать примитивными инструментами

Awesome build. I would have been tempted to use a Japanese pull saw on some of these joints just to cut down on saw dust but I can’t deny the precision of your router technique. Hats off to you, my friend.

Nice that a customer can see their furniture being built. It will give them more appreciation for the craftsmanship involved. I must say, your attention to accuracy and tight tolerances is second to a select few.

You don't need the million in tools, this whole table and all the joinery can be done by hand, it just takes a substantial amount of time.

I don't need anything for my home. However, if I ever find myself needing anything such as tables, benches, or something made out of wood, I am willing to travel to Canada and have this master make it for me. 😆👍🏻👍🏻

Берешь слиток алюминия, размером с боинг 777 и вытачиваешь из него физюляж для этого самого боинга ручным инструментом, не забывая пройтись наждачной бумагой по острым краям. Ну а если серьезно, то это выглядит очень круто. Мужик очень "рукастый". Но, всё это баловство и совершенно не применимо 99,9999% людей к реальной жизни. Но, как говориться, "Понты дороже денег". I don’t know if the table is strong enough. Maybe some 1/2 lag screws through top into the legs. Just kidding. Beautiful table and execution.Great vid. Keep them coming.
