Yes, because the version they used to have had a funnel thing like a steamship. But in Szechuan and Chongqing they don't.

For us overseas Chinese, even if I were to put a cooking pot on a gas burner or an induction hob on my dining room table, I would still call it a steam boat. I like the word steam boat . . . it just sound so exciting to have a steam boat. Like Luke's step father, I also like it plain without that hot chilli soup.
