So, I have to state this: My brother and I are born pre-2000s (83/80) respectively. Our father was a gear head, and Drag Racer as well as Driving Instructor. He taught us about Cars (I spent a Frozen Canadian Weekend Replacing a Transmission at 16 years old cause my Dad had a bum left hand due to a previous injury while working on the Snow-Blower) So we both know Cars, Engines etc. through our pops. Fastforward to us in our forties one morning sitting enjoying a coffee while out on his boat on still water and this channels "Theme music plays on his phone" I look over at him with a huge smile on my face and go. "On this Episode of Just Rolled In...." We died laughing and talking about our faves, then I smiled and said.... "Image Dad seeing that? He'd yell at his phone." Thought I'd share, that moment, it crossed my mind, and thought I'd share how your channel made two brothers bond just that little bit more... Thanks for the laughs.

When I told my father, who died last Fall, about a couple of these, he insisted that they had to be fake. These situations are so dumb that a guy born in the '40's thought that no one could possibly be that stupid. After that conversation, I didn't show him any of these videos, because they would have destroyed his remaining faith in humanity. Some things are best not to know, such as that there are somehow people that own cars and have kids who also put hand sanitizer in their engine.

Small things often DO make us remember the good times, with our passed-away parents. My dad was also a gear-head. We would be under cars with him at 10 & 12yr old, just learning, watching. He passed 1990. It sometimes catches you unawares, but the littlest thing will instantly transport you to the time you remember, with your loved ones. Thanks for your message mate. It made ME remember, as well. 👍
@fareemvenosa37746 ай бұрын
@antibrevity I've said the same, mate. I refuse to believe anyone is this stupid - that these clubs HAVE to be fake. But then I came across them in real life. You just have to button your lip, walk up to a lonely mountain and shout at the sky "WHYYYYY".

Learning the history behind Government Cheese is one of the strangest parts of US politics I wish more people knew about. That and why the "got milk?" campaign existed. TLDR, we like hamburger meat so much that there's an excess level of milk and cheese in the system, so the government either stores it or distributes it to schools and wherever else they can to get rid of it. The photos of the United States Cheese Vault is like a fever dream.

For when you feel the spray foam might just not be up to the task of replacing structural steel. Then what you do is, you take your tool, and you "weld" it across the crack that's sheared straight through the frame, after first making sure that the gas cylinder is empty and/or shut off. Remember to ensure that at least one part that is supposed to be able to move is caught up in the web of "welded on" wrenches, C-clamps and bolts liberated from the engine mount - I recommend either the drive shaft or part of the steering arm.

To me, "it just needs a battery" means I'm hooking up my jumper cables, seeing if the car will start, how well it runs after it starts, and if it stays running after I disconnect the cables. But that's after I look underneath the car, and under the hood, very critically. A car is a major purchase, and I don't like throwing my money away (and yet I still bought a Jeep, go figure!). 10:22 - Aftermarket stereos typically use the industry-standard color codes, which also match Metra (and other brand) harness adapter plugs, making wiring an aftermarket head unit practically foolproof. I say foolproof, and am immediately reminded of this quote: "A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools." -- Douglas Adams I can tell simply by looking that the head unit's 12V Switched, 12V Constant, Ground, and both Front Speaker leads appear to be connected to something. The Rear Speakers aren't connected. The removed 4WD knob and HVAC controls suggest Ford/Mercury, pickup or SUV, and I'm gonna go out on a limb and say anywhere from mid-90s to early-00s. (Should be an easy-peasy install, and there are a few really great websites I'd recommend for looking up the wiring if you hacked the factory plugs off but KZbin doesn't like anyone providing off-site links.) But egads, BAND-AIDS?! I know a roll of decent 3M electrical tape costs a bit, but at least that would be a better option than temporary adhesive bandages! (And I say that as someone that had to fix a hack job job some punk did on my own installation, where he peeled duct tape off a cardboard box in his bedroom to use on the wiring, after he cut my splices out and screwed things up. I hadn't made any mistakes, he expected a Geo Metro with four 4" speakers, powered by a Clarion CD head unit pushing 35W peak, to be a neighborhood-rattling sound system and because it wasn't, he assumed I messed it up.)

I not only washed out many pounds of mud and clay from it and the hollow frame, but noted the spare tire was installed upside down. When I took it off, the wheel had at least 40 pounds of tan mud and silt on it! I think someone took this vehicle out in either a wet Arkansas bean field or took it on a mud rally and did not know to clean it out. A couple of years of use and I had to have both front wheel bearings replaced as the silt had eaten them up! The things fools will do!

I place some blame on our schools. We don't have nearly enough try/fail/repeat, especially with common life issues. "Somethings wrong, someone ELSE needs to fix it"- summarizes far too many people i know.

If it ever happen that you make a video where a customer say "repair everything", make sure you bring this very slowly and gently with a warning and a count down so we can mentally prepare for it or we will probably not survive the shock.

I wanted to check the honesty of a new local mechanic in our small town, so I brought in my car and said to check it for all faults. A broken exhaust hanger and busted parking light globe was all that he could find - so he gets my regular service on the basis of his honesty.

I worked in auto parts for years, and I am accustomed to people being clueless about cars, but some stuff really amazes me. They will buy cars with obvious major problems that you don't have to be a master technician to see. I think the most amazing thing to me is the number of adults that are completely unaware that vehicles have titles.
